Sarfaraz Ahmed, rebel after being removed from captaincy, said- PCB central contract does not matter

New Delhi : The Pakistan Cricket Board has recently announced the players' annual agreement. Only three players have been included in A category in this list. After being removed from T20 and Test captaincy, Sarfraz Ahmed has now been stripped of the captaincy of the ODI team. Sarfaraz responded by saying that PCB contract is not a big deal.


The former captain of Pakistan cricket team remains the rebel of Sarfaraz. He was removed from the captaincy after an embarrassing defeat against Sri Lanka in T20 in September last year. Pakistan sports journalist has shared Sarfaraz's statement. In this, he has made it clear that he was not much worried about the PCB agreement and he does not care in which category he has been assigned.

He was asked to relinquish the captaincy after being eliminated from the first round of the ICC World Cup played in England and Wales in 2019. Sarfaraz showed rebellious attitude and said after the defeat that if he is to remove the captaincy, he should be removed but he will not leave this post.


Sarfaraz went on to become captain after Misbah-ul-Haq became Pakistan's head coach and chief selector. Babar Azam was named captain in T20 and Azhar Ali in Tests. Along with being removed from the captaincy, he was also shown the way out of the team.
