Parthiv Patel does not consider playing in Mahendra Singh Dhoni's era unlucky

Parthiv Patel, who has been out of the Indian cricket team for a long time, has given a statement about his cricket career. He says that he does not consider himself unlucky to play during Mahendra Singh Dhoni's time. While Parthiv Patel is well aware that MS Dhoni made a place for himself in the team by performing better than him.


Parthiv Patel, who won the Ranji Trophy title to Gujarat under his captaincy in 2016, played his last Test match against South Africa in Johannesburg in 2018. Parthiv has not been able to play ODI matches for India for the past 8 years. He played the last ODI for Team India in 2012 against Sri Lanka in Brisbane. While he played the last T20 International for India in the year 2011 against England.

Parthiv Patel, speaking during the radio station Fever's '100 Hours 100 Stars' program, said, "I do not believe in myself that I was unlucky to play during Mahendra Singh Dhoni's time, I played international cricket before MS Dhoni. Started, before his arrival in cricket, I got a lot of opportunities to perform.

Parthiv said while talking further, Dhoni got entry into the team at a time when I could not perform well in some series and I was dropped from the team. People only say for sympathy that in terms of cricket I was born at the wrong time, but I believe it is not right.

Parthiv Patel said that what Mahendra Singh Dhoni has achieved in cricket is very special and he achieved all this because he redeemed the opportunities he got.

Parthiv also recalled during the conversation that when his close friend Matthew Hayden threatened to punch him in the mouth, Patel said, "We were playing in Brisbane.
