Pakistan players will now be supported by legendary spinner Saqlain Mushtaq, will get big post


Karachi Former Pakistan team veteran spinner Saqlain Mushtaq is going to get a big role in the Pakistan Cricket Board i.e. PCB. The veteran of the Pakistan team could get the role of coach at PCB's High Performance Center in Lahore, which is yet to be officially announced. According to reliable sources Saqlain Mushtaq has agreed to become a high performance coach for the international players of the Pakistan team.


Saqlain Mushtaq has experience working as a spin bowling coach and consultant with teams from England, West Indies and New Zealand. He also applied for the post of head coach of Pakistan Junior and A team last year, but did not get the job which eventually got to former Test batsman Ejaz Ahmed. Let us know that the PCB had decided to change the name of National Cricket Academy to High Performance Center.

"Recently, when PCB invited applications for various coaching positions, Saqlain applied for this position of High Performance Center and he got the job," the source said. He said that another Pakistani sports physiologist based in the United Kingdom is also in talks with the board to join the center in Lahore. The PCB now wants a full-time sports psychologist and consultant at the center for the players.
