BCCI cricket shocks Australia, Ganguly says 5-match Test series is not possible

New Delhi : President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, Sourav Ganguly, believes that a 5-Test series is not necessary during the tour of Australia. Cricket Australia wants to replace the four-match Test series with a 5-match series, which will also increase the thrill and increase the chances of results.

Virat Kohli & Co. are scheduled to play in the four-match Test series under the Border Gavaskar Trophy in November. Last time, under the captaincy of Kohli, India created history by defeating Australia in Australia. India won 2–1 in the four-match series and did an excellent job beating the hosts in their home series for the first time.

Talking to Mid-Day, Ganguly said, "I don't think it will be possible for India to play in a 5-match Test series on this tour. The limited overs will be played against the format as well as adding a 14-day quarantine period as directed. The tour will be longer than this. "

A statement from Cricket Australia said last month, "There is nothing definite about the upcoming (5 Test matches) series but what I can say is that the relationship between Cricket Australia and BCCI is very strong."

This is something on which both of us have agreed, keeping things in the future. Most The big question is whether we can include it in the 2023 Future Tour. "
