Now the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has also clarified that we can take a decision on the ODI and T20 series to be held in Sri Lanka when the ban is removed from the foreign tour.

The Indian team, captained by Virat Kohli, was scheduled to travel to Sri Lanka in July for a three-match ODI and a three-match T20I series, but it has not been decided yet due to the Kovid 19 pandemic. BCCI treasurer Arun Dhumal told Reuters over the phone, "Nothing has been decided for this tour yet, as we are not yet sure when the ban on foreign travel in the country will be lifted."

The BCCI official has said, "There is no clarity about this. So we will wait for that and take a decision accordingly." Even though there have not been more cases of corona virus in Sri Lanka, but the BCCI has made it clear that the health and safety of the players is paramount for them. This is the reason why BCCI is in a dilemma about a tournament like the Indian Premier League or IPL, skip the bilateral series.
