Wasim Akram ran to Imran Khan in fear when he saw a bat in Viv Richards' hand

New Delhi : Whatever be the cricketer of the world, during his cricket career, if there are some such incidents, then he remembers his age. Former Pakistan cricket team fast bowler Wasim Akram also shared a similar incident with former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra during a conversation on YouTubu. He told how he was overshadowed by the legendary West Indian cricketer Vivian Richards.

Wasim Akram said that this was in the year 1988 when Richards was beating his balls a lot during a match. In the last part of this match or rather in the last over, I was bowling with very good pace and I threw him a bouncer which caused Richards' cap to fall down. After that he went to them and sled them in his broken English. Richards then stared at me and warned not to do so.

Wasim Akram said that he did not understand his point much and then went to Imran Khan and told him that Viv is telling me not to sledge him or else he will kill him. Then Imran told me not to worry and threw a bouncer. After this, Wasim again threw him a bouncer and sled. On the last ball of the day, he was bowled and then Wasim shouted to Viv to go out of the field.

Akram told that he came to the dressing room with Imran and then took off his shoes. Then someone asked him to come out of the dressing room. When they went out, they saw Viv Richards standing with a bat in his hand, sweaty without a shirt. He was also wearing his pad. After this, he moved closer to Imran Khan in fear. After this Imran told me what to do and left me alone. Then coming out, I apologized to Viv and said that this will not happen now. After this he said that it would be good otherwise he would kill them.
