There are 7 wells in this cricket stadium of India, Sehwag made world record here

Indore, : New World Representative. All sports activities in the city are closed due to the lock down. When the lock down opens, the games will also take time to get back on track, but the Holkar Stadium of the MP Cricket Organization is already preparing for the post-lock down.

This international stadium in Indore, which has witnessed many records, has green grass in the hot summer. This preparation for the future is being done with the help of three field workers. More than a month and a half has passed since the lock down. When people are in their homes, the trio of Anil Genewal, Ashish Papralia and Dheeraj Jarwal continue to work in Holkar Stadium.

All three live in a nearby colony and love cricket so much as if the stadium has been made their home. MPCA pitch curator Samander Singh Chauhan keeps in regular contact through social media and phone and gives necessary guidelines.

Rain water is saved from eight wells built inside the stadium

Eight wells have been built below the ground where the players play in the stadium. Due to which rain water is saved. This raises the water level here and there is no shortage of water even in summer. This water is used throughout the year. In Jabalpur, Gwalior, Sagar etc., the ground is being taken care of by spraying water with Rengan.

Samandar told that all three are volunteering here. Throughout the year, the field which is taken care of like a child, he did not feel like leaving it unturned. The result of their hard work is that the stadium is fully ready for the match and there will be no problem to resume cricket here after the lock down opens.

He told that we are cutting the grass at 8 mm. Regular water and other chemicals are also sprayed to keep the grass green. There is a fear of drying the grass in summer, which causes the field to turn yellow. Similar situation is there in all the plains of the state. Jyotiraditya Siddhia, former head of MPCA has also appreciated the efforts of Maidanqiyam through social media.
