New Delhi : Ishan Kishan, an Indian wicketkeeper and captain of the Under 19 World Cup, is a part of Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League. He shared his first meeting with Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar, one of the world's greatest batsmen. Ishan told that when he met him first, he was absolutely stumped, neither could hear anything nor could he speak.
In the year 2018, Ishan was included in his team by Mumbai Indians by paying an expensive amount of 6.2 crores. He came to see our practice session at Mumbai Indians. I was signed right after that. I spoke to Rohit Bhai," said Cricbuzz, the Jharkhand wicketkeeper. I was doing it and told him how I have been worshiping Sachin Pa ji for so many years.
"Rohit Bhai told me that he had spoken. Luckily Sachin Pa ji himself came to me to talk. I don't think I could hear anything that he said, I was just watching him speak."
The year Mumbai bought Ishan in the auction, he was the highest batsman to score 405 runs in the Vijay Hazare Trophy for Jharkhand. He also scored a century in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. After this, he was given a place in India A to play against A team of New Zealand and South African.
"Since childhood, I liked playing shots. I never liked to drop or stop the ball. I always like to attack and the sound of the ball on the bat is very good. I never like the bowler's length or speed. Not afraid of it. All that remains is where the bowler will put the ball and how I want to play it. "
